The notion of innovation and adaptability is not typically associated with the Russian army, especially considering the initial phase of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which was marked by a series of setbacks. Despite that, all armies regardless of their initial effectiveness, undergo adaptation processes. The Russian army is no exception. While it remains a centralized force grappling with numerous logistical and personnel challenges, it is important to acknowledge that it has been making efforts to adapt.
This update provides information about interesting changes and adaptations within the Russian army that have come to our attention over the past 6 months. We will focus on those adaptations that are less obvious or have not been extensively covered in traditional or social media, excluding well-documented developments such as the increased use of drones or FAB bombs.
