Destruction of Concealed Ammo Storage
Visual Confirmation: Sorokyne (Krasnodon) Storage Facility Annihilation
A few days ago, Ukrainian forces successfully destroyed what appears to be an ammunition depot concealed within the mining facility in Sorokyne, Luhansk Oblast. Notably, this facility is positioned in the rear of Russian troops, situated more than 130 kilometers away from the closest frontline. Satellite imagery reveals that the fire extensively affected the surrounding area, likely attributable to the ignition of stored ammunition.
In this compiled timelapse, encompassing the dates of September 22nd, 25th, and 27th, we can observe the building before the destruction, the moment of the explosion, and the subsequent aftermath. The complex of structures appears to have been entirely obliterated.
As per the information in my possession, this facility has been in use for a considerable duration and benefited from a convenient location near the railway station. This railway station continues to be actively utilized by Russian forces, offering a convenient means of swiftly transporting materials to concealed industrial facilities within the mine's territory. It is merely 1.5 kilometers away from the unloading section of the railway station.
This represents a positive advancement for Ukrainian forces, particularly given that towns in close proximity to the Russian border serve as crucial hubs for Russian logistical operations. These areas have been traditionally considered relatively secure for operations. The destruction of this facility may potentially compel Russian forces to implement additional security measures, potentially impacting logistical efficiency and delivery times.
